My boot has recently seized shut, locked shut or even jammed shut some how? Has anyone else had the same problem and how can I solve it? My car is a 1.1 style 2001 Question

mine does it all the time, just have to push the handle in really hard, but yeah worth having a look at it from the inside see how the mechanism works see if there's anything obstructing it/anything broken.

Is there access to the boot catch from inside the boot? If so you could unbolt the catch from the car and then lift the boot and examine the fault that way?

You need to unclip the plastic trim panel on the inside of the tailgate to get at the lock & handle assembly / open the boot.

Th boot came un-seized eventually but stuck again the next day, the clip looks fine and the mechanism, could it possibly be the remote central locking fault?

As above and soak it with silicone-grease spray once open.
