Yeah it does but if you give it an hour , you will be allowed to try again .

Crying or Very sad I let the car sit over-night with the battery disconnected and it STILL says the radio is locked. Any other suggestions? I refuse to go to the dealer and spend good money.

Thanks! Kevin

Leave the ignition on and turn the radio on. If it doesn't reset, then it needs to be recoded.

Thanks for the reply, Lee. I tried that and it didn't seem to make any difference. I now have it on my livingroom floor hooked up to a 12V powersupply and a speaker based on an earlier suggestion. I just don't get how inputting the code incorrectly twice would completely lock it down. Just irritates me I have the correct code, but it still won't even let me try anymore.

Thanks! Kevin

And there's no way of erasing the memory witout taking it to the dealer? I can't imagine someone hasn't figured that out, I mean what is the dealer going to do that a customer couldn't do? I was wondering if an OBDII reader would be able to reset it.

Thanks! Kevin

You need to desolder the 93c04 I think it is in the Blaupunkt, and recode.

Well, I love to solder as much as the next electronic tech, but I don't think it's worth it to me. I'm leaning toward an after-market stereo as I have to use a tape adaptor to listen to my Zune...not cool, especially with the crazy cold weather we've been having lately. The cassette deck doesn't like it. I use the car as a commuter (90 km round trip), I just wasn't wanting to put a bunch of money into it. I appreciate your input on this!

Thanks! Kevin

Can you not get a cheap FM transmitter to listen to your music? I got one from a BP station free when I filled up once, (they saved me a whole £3 on buying one new!) and it works fine to be honest.

Why is it that something that says \"Do not eat\" is far more tempting to eat than if it didn\'t?

I have a standard Blaupunkt headunit with the code if you can't find a way of decoding it.

I DO have an FM xmtr, I've just always been a "hard-wire" kinda' guy. Though, admittedly, a cassette adaptor is pushing my standard.

Thanks for the offer! I'm going to try one more thing before I decide what to do.

Thanks! Kevin

After letting the radio sit turned on (displaying "RADIO LOCKED") for a litte over an hour with the ignition on (car not running), it finally reset itself to allow me to input the code.

All is well now. Very Happy

Thanks! Kevin
