Looking at getting a new 206 cd player, but seller says it was taken out of the car when he bought it from peugeot as he upgraded, but he says it has no code? and you can get it from peugeot. is that true and how much would that cost?

Think it depends on what year of 206 it came from.
IIRC, plexed ones are coded via the BSI.
If you can get the code from the dealer, give Lee a PM first, he might be able to sort it a lot cheaper than what the dealer will charge.

pre 51 i believe, 2003 is the phase change August i think, no idea of month that plexing changed. Lee will sort that out tho lol

Correct.
Multiplexed stereo's are VIN coded to the BSI unit.

any 1 mind telling me what the bsi means?
after 2003 can it only be used in the car it came in? or is that what your saying about the earlier 1's
my partners car is a 2001 quicksiler, this car is a 2001 gti.
