Every now and then my car, at low revs around 1500-2000, jerks when I gently accelerate and when it does this a puff of black smoke comes out of the exhaust. Could anybody shed some light on what this may be? feels like the turbo or something is going wrong, blocked pipe maybe?

Help would be appreciated,
Thanks

normally white smoke is a bad sign, black smoke is a trait of every diesel, maybe needing a fap regen? maybe a service?

do you give it a good blast on the motorway now and again? usually helps with getting rid of soot build-ups in the DPF

Fap has been removed so not that. this is why I am more inclined to go with the boost leak.

It won't, revs must be kept as low and steady as possible to allow regeneration, 50-60 MPH ideally. Whoring it up and down the motorway will only block up the filter more.
