hiya well today has been eventful!
got upto asda turned in and i said to the other half i can smell petrol. didnt think anything of it.
i got out the car to go and get something looked back and the bf is saying i have got to come back and push her n she had stalled herself!
so got her round the corner and poped the bonet (fuel p**sing everywhere) the bf noticed the main fuel injector has poped off p**sing fuel all over the engine, starving the engine of fuel.
the bf tried poping it back on but it wouldnt stay so yeah lil p is now still up in asda car park with a note in it saying broken down
HELP! x

I had this issue and it was a small plastic clip that holds the fuel pipe onto the fuel rail, the aa guy bodged it with two cable ties and PUG told me I had to buy completley new fuel pip for about £80 in order to get a new plastic clip.

Breather pipe off, Coil pack off, small metal plate between throttle body and cylinder head off, remove throttle cable, press the valve on the end of the fuel rail to relieve any pressure (careful), undo the two bolts holding the fuel rail on, either remove the rail and push all the injectors back in or try to push the injector back in tight by wiggling it and make sure the clips are secure, refit in order of removal. Double check it every now and then to make sure it hasn't started leaking (just to be sure)
If the fuel rail is broken id get one from a scrappy
I've done this 4 or 5 times on these engines needing injectors changed.
If you're not confident then get someone who is to do it. Its relatively straight forward.
