Anybody ever dismantled the cluster and replaced the motor that drives the speedo needle?

Yes i have, belive it or not the speedo and rev couner use the same motor.

what would you like to know?

Yes quite easy, the clocks will split into 3 sections and you need to remove the needles using a fork and pushing them off

that is the part you need but only the case you need the compleat motor, all its got is 2 clips that hold it in and then 4 pins that go onto the board to make the connection

you could buy any speedo from the 206 range and switch the motor over

i have a similar problem but it is my rev counter thats not working. would this be the same fix?

'I got here by searching' Shocked

My temp gauge shows exactly 10 degrees C colder than checked by PP2000 and have already tried changing ECT sensor. So 98 C is shown as 88 C which is totaly unacceptable.

1) Can I just pull the needle off and re-push it at the right place on the stepper spindle?

2) Why not?
