this is a 1 off question. i have a usb obd reader. is there any bits of software that you can download and use to update the bsi software and do tuning upgrades on the ecu?

Yes, Peugeot Planet BUT you need to pay Peugeot £4000 a year for access to there software database.
If you want the lastest BSI software take it to a main dealer, its far cheaper.

plus if it screws up then the dealer has to put it right. Much cheaper than having to have the car towed to them after you've killed it's brain.

You can use swiftec for tuning, costs 3000euro
And no you can't download it, as you need a dongle
