Not sure if this is actually a problem or not but when you push down the pedal you have to push it down what feels like a couple of cm before it revs at all
The car is a 1.4 hdi, just wondering if anyone else has this and if it can be improved in any way?

Have you tried adjusting the clip on the throttle cable under the bonnet mate?
Mine was like this and my brother adjusted it, he reckons the cable had stretched,

Is the top couple of cm's slack?
Some 206s have an electric throttle body rather than cable which don't exactly have the best throttle response, rather than being direct to a cable that opens the butterfly, an electric one sends signals to the ECU which then determines engine speed, load and other parameters before deciding how much to open the butterfly. I've been told a remap can tinker with the electric throttles responsiveness to improve it, but I don't know for sure

Right in the middle of the photo you can see the ribbed casing of the accelerator cable with the silver butterfly clip holding on a certain amount of knotches.
Adjust this between 10-15 knotches and this should let the throttle be more responsive.

Thanks for the replies, i'm fairly sure it's a sensor rather than cable but will have to double check tomorrow

You need diagnostic equipment
I think you can unless it's just on the electric throttles, don't quote me on that though
