Hi i changed my 180's brake master cylinder yesterday it was all going really smoothly until ive come to bleed the brakes i can't get any pressure at all the pedal just drops straight to the floor, am i now right in thinking it will need pressure bleeding on peugeot planet or at a garage who has similar equipment?.

180 brakes need to be bled using PP IIRC. How far away from Sheffield are you?

There has been enough warning posted up on here over the years about the 180 brake system needing Peugeot Planet to bleed it

I changed my brake fluid 3 weeks ago, I have no problems braking
why do you need PP to bleed it?

If you manage to get air inside the abs hydraulic modulator while attempting to bleed the brakes you will then need to activate the valves inside the ABS / ESP unit to bleed the system successfully

okey, I changed to Brembo calipers and then changed the brake fluid with pressure on the system.
So maybe I made it without getting air into the system..

So in fact this could apply to all 206's with ABS. You dont need PP, You just need to do it properly.

Nope, only 206's with ESP fitted which is GTI 180 / RC & some newer GTI's.
If you do manage to get air inside the hydraulic modulator you WILL then need Peugeot Planet to bleed the brake system.

I fitted brembos a while back, along with a new master cylinder. And I couldn't get any pressure in the system either.
Ended up taking it to a friend's garage who pressure bled it. Pretty sure they didn't use Peugeot Planet thou..?
