Can anyone help me with a 'how to' on removing the head of my 180? Timing belt just snapped at only 38000mls!!! so i'm wanting to do a bit of the removal myself to keep the labour costs down. Cheers guys

As above unless you know what your doing I would say leave well alone and take to someone who knows what there doing, you could end up doing more harm than good.

Timing belts also have a time limit on them

better to check the bottom too just in case the snapped valve drops.....
80K miles or 5 yr for belt.

Well, a nice 2nd hand engine might be better value if too much damage been done when the belt snapped.

I do think that just replacing the engine could work out at a similar price...

Plus you'd need to get the timing belt changed on that too if it hadn't been done
