quick one. painting a blue spoiler silver, would you recommend sand down before primer or would it work out good to just prime over the blue? cheers guys or gals

was using that previous but he is painting silver - silver so was unsure lol

sanding down now. how far do i have to sand down dya know? do i have to take ot all the way to the bone or just take the top later off ?

Give it a good key and flatten out any imperfections, as long as you use a good Primer you should be right, although you may get some reactions from the old paint with the new, I would get as much off as physically possible.

done all the spoiler. it looks a tint darker than the car though, will it lighten up with drying time/polish?

It might do mate when I sprayed some bits and they turned out a bit darker gave the
A few good coats of polish and they were ok but might not be the case for you also I think it can depend on the colour of the primer you used?

tbh its getting slightly lighter... i imagine the paint will still be fairly damp and will get better as is 100% dry.. will polish tomoz and see what it comes out like

i know i know... my mates done quite abit of spraying thouhh and thought it would be ok, im so impatient though i just need GTi'ingg! if worst comes to worst i will get some better paint and start from square one. Hopefully will be ok and will have a nice spoiler on tomoz Smile
