Ive been having a problem with my car for a while ago. I go to start the car and then it sounds like its struggling to turn over. Then all of the doors luck. Normally second time round it starts fine.

Anyway I come to start the car tonight and the automatic headlights had switched themselves off. They turned back on fine. I still have the original problem of the door locking but it wont start at all now. Any ideas what the cause could be. Also the clocks occasionally reset after trying to start.

Ok will do. would that cause the doors to lock and other problems? Sound likely tho. Also alarm has been going off randomly too. Thanks for your help

Sounds like battery especially now the temperatures are dropping. Mine used to struggle to start and the doors would lock and I would also get airbag faults, changed battery and has never happened again

Defiantly sounds like the battery is dying or dead, the doors will lock on their own due to the battery being dead, same with the alarm.

Get the battery and charging system checked;)
You'll want a decent battery for the winter months

Needs a new battery, the original factory fitted Varta one will be worn out.

tip: switch a known working battery in there to establish that it's definitely that before shelling out £60+ on a decent battery.
