Slowly getting problems again with this damned 206 GTI
As soon as engine temp hits 90 and above the idle startsfailing, and has often completely died/stalled, I'm thinking of getting a new ICV, what do you reckon~?

Normally temperature will be around or below 90 mark, even u stuck in traffic.

Check for faulty thermalstat, cooling lvl. If temperature only rinse up when stuck in traffic, check the radiator fan. It should be working when temperature hit above 90.

Fan always kicks in around 92, 93, car doesnt particularly overheat, it just stalls or threatens to stall when above 90.

Well, I may have found the cure for this, touch wood!
Changed my thermostat for a new one, and flushed the whole cooling system, replaced the coolant, and gave the throttle body and ICV a clean, tightened up all the intake pipe/filter housing etc.
Took the car for a run last night and noticed a massive change, in that I sat outside the takeaway with the engine running for ten minutes, and it never went above 90!
Didnt even see the radiator fan kick in, now I know it was cold last night but my car would still have gone up above 90 anyway!
The lumpy idle stopped, and it never looked like stalling.
Will update on this after today, got some driving around to do, after Ive re-seated my damned exhaust which is catching on the heat shield!
