Hey everyone,,

Just bought my self a gti, T reg, off a mate only £200, it drives really well, has covered 130,000 miles probably hence she let me have it for £200 plus its not got mot or tax..

anyway got a few queries, right well i need a rear wiper arm, have gone to a scrapy, but everyone i tried to get off broke as they ceased on, any tips on how to get them off or where I can get a new arm from.

handbrake cable needs doing.

Also when i was driving it home, there was a rattle coming from inside the car at the back, i think the rear seats need tightening, but if I go to the boot when it is shut and press on it, it sounds like it is not shut and could cause a rattle, if I changed the catch, would this make the boot shut more secure??

Also it sounds like there is some kind a rubbing coming from under the bonnet and I think its coming from where the cam belt is (i think) on the left of the engine plus the belt doesn't look great, does the cam belt need changing???

probably forgot something or will probably find something else..

Any help would be great

thanks

Adam

Rear wiper arms are only like £10 delivered including blade from eBay

I have one brand new handbrake cable for sale, still in the bag. Also have two used ones.

Rattling could be anything on this car.

Cambelt should be done every 60k or 5 years which ever comes first.

The tailgate rattling is common and it's normally because the latch on the body has a plastic sleeve that has worn out. Just rotate it 180 degrees and it should be better.
