Hello guys, Ive tried to have a look in faq's but havent had any luck,Ive got an 02 206 1.1 with what I believe to be multiplexed system(comms 2000),I had to replace my ecu and bsi inc reciever with another set with the same numbers etc only to find it too didnt work so after a third attempt another £130 I finally have the car starting again (but) I now have just the one key (pear shaped) without any buttons which mean I cant remote central lock my car ,my question is this, can I use programme any of the other two 2 button remotes to operate my central locking?or do I have to buy a new remote and have it programmed?thanks in advance.

Why have you bought so many?

What was the problem?

Hi lee,soz for the delay, well the story was I purchased the wee car as a non runnerwith remote 2 button key and pear shape key,and had a look around various different web pages and determined it was an immobiliser fault so thinking I was being smart went and purchased a full matching set from a breaker, with a 2 button remote, only to find it too was faulty, this is when I realised just how common this probably seems to be,so after this with a bit of reluctance I bought a third ecu/bsi ign barrel with key ,which now has the car running but I dont have a remote for the new set just the pear shaped key ,I got a loan of my friends Ethos diagnostic tool with keys today but it doesnt seem to do the keys either, but Im becoming more convinced that I require a (virgin) chip and require to have this programmed with peugeots planet,is this correct? or is there another way?thanks,Bill.

Immobilser fault, I could have had that fixed for about £150 with the original ECU and BSI Wink

The circuit board in the key needs to match the frequency in the BSI, the circuit board doesn't need to be a virgin one, just the IMMO chip but you don't need to replace that as its starting the car.

Have you tried resyncing it? AS if it was the key with that BSI, it should only need resyncing

Hi Lee,I think this is where the problem lies, with the 3rd set I only got the pear key with the chip inside (no Remote fob) I have tried to resync it two or three different ways as instructed with no luck,Im probs getting a bit scared to touch it now that it running if that makes sense, although the car wouldnt start with any of the previous two the remote central locking worked no probz Sad ,I did toy with the idea of trying my original BSI unit with the new ECU to see if this would help but I think Im correct in assuming its the BSI units that are the problem in the first instance, not wanting to go off topic but I have now found my stereo has started this dreaded beeping every 2-3 secs as well now I believe because its no longer its original BSI unit as well. what a mess Sad ,thanks,Bill.

Hi lee, lol, yes I still have the other two sets,it just keeps getting better I now have the airbag lights illuminating and Ithink now the headgasket has blown Possibly because of the excess fuel being pumped into the cylinders by the 2nd ECU/BSI Sad and I thought my saxo was bad when it had an immob fault,oh well lucky white heather Rolling Eyes

If you want, tell me the brand of ECU all the numbers on it and the number of pins in the connector, also the year and engine of the car and I'll get you a quote to fix the IMMO fault on the original ECU
