I think just the pre-plexed cars that have black plastic door handles, bumpers, boot strip etc. multiplexed cars look a lot better with these painted would it be fine to paint the plastics and will it have just as a good effect?

Not true. Mines a plexed and came with black bumper mouldings, side strips and black door handles. On some it may even have been an optional extra from the factory.

If you have the confidence, you can do it yourself.
Sand, plastic prime, colour, lacquer are the basic steps. Quite a few people have done their own so might be a "how to" somewhere. If you take your time you can get a better finish than the factory.

I did my centre console and engine cover aslong as you have the patience to let it dry lol you'll be fine!
I used halfords spray its really good stuff i find 2 primer, 3 top coats for good even cover then 2 laquer. Should need to wet and dry it either to get a shine, i got an instant shine.

I won't be doing this myself, I would only practice on objects I intend to waste. If I mess this up I will need to buy the parts again.
Did you paint the plastics or get new frames and paint them?
