Basically as the title says really. Going to buy a timing belt kit as i have an annoying squeel from the timing side of my engine on a 2.0 gti 136.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You won't get one. It's quite a big job. ECU needs removing, engine needs shifting off the mounts otherwise the covers won't come off...

A Haynes manual is useful but it does the job in a 307 which isn't as difficult.

2001 GTi 138, Bilstein Sprint dampers, H&R springs, 21mm Peugeot Sport torsion bars, 22mm rear ARB, Peugeot Sport Group A wishbones, 283mm discs, Goodridge stainless hoses, Maniflow 304 grade 4-2-1 2.5" manifold and system, 200 cell cat, Richard Longman head, 45mm Jenvey throttle bodies, 9.5mm TB spacers, 90mm air horns, Jenvey throttle linkage, Jenvey fuel rail, Aeromotive and Goodridge fuel fittings and braided hose, ITG sausage filter, Radtec custom radiator, Piper Ultimate Road cams, Piper vernier pulleys, Omex 600 ECU. Saxo electric PAS pump, Vibra Technics engine mounts. Samco coolant hoses, TTV steel flywheel, 4.76 final drive ratio, 307 CC 180 ratios. 2019 BMW 530i. 2017 Mercedes C300 convertible.

kieron posted one on here for a 2.0i which I used for our CC without any problems.

I used bolts rather than trying to find the cam lock/pins .. which is exactly how a local Pug specialist recommended I did it ...

Down to just the 1.4 HDi. Cayman Green 2.0i CC sold.

What's the mileage on said 138 and how old is the car? Timing belts have a working life of miles or years, whichever comes first.

If mine is 97k, and the period is 60k or 5 years, is it possible mines had one already or can some last this long on one cambelt?

Its possible it might still be on the original timing belt.
