Hi all, one of many problems Sad
av had a look on the forum and have found lots of gearbox problems but a would like help with my specific problem please

the problem is a big clunk when going into second gear, loudness seems to depend on how cold it is. It is also prety much impossible to downchange into second. Another problem is going into first and reverse it just wont go into gear so i have to pump the clutch abit which becoms a problem when you have to so down to first for some of the speed bumps around mine.

Lots of questions but any reply would be appreciated
thanks Jack

Knowing what engine your Quicksilver has would help Wink

2 different familys of manual gearbox on the 206, just p**sing in to the wind until we know what we are dealing with.

Put some anti-freeze in your gearbox.

No Don't.

MA boxes don't like the cold. I sometimes find 1st don't want to go in.

Checked the gearbox oil level?

Peugeot / Citroen main dealer parts dept if you need gear oil as its cheap enough, these MA boxes are such stone age technology they hate fancy synthetic / wrong grade of oil being put in them.

Can never understand why people put the wrong oil in these gearboxes, its not like the correct oil is hard to get hold of or expensive.
