'Have been given a set of snow treads.

My 206 spec says 175/65R14
The closest numbers listed on the set is 205/65R14 or 195/65R15

Are they suitable?

No. There is a list of numbers suitable and those are the closest.
They are of the plastic type but not the ones that mount from the side.
Like chains wrap-around.

Cheers.

in otherwords he has snow socks for a 205 -195 and wants to know if they'll fit his 175's

i don't think they'll go small enough to stay on your wheels unfortunatly

no they will be too big.

i have snow socks that do 195/65/15 (winter rims on golf) which are too big for the 175/65/14 winter rims on the 206, hence we have two sets.

They are not snow socks.
It's the plastic studed thing that look like chains.

I would only use them under emergency because we hardly ever get any snow over here anyway.
That means the chances of getting crashed-on by someone are big, exactly because no-one
knows how to drive correctly under these conditions.

'Thought they would be too big, but I was just given them because 'I know about these things'..

Cheers for replies.
