Is it really necessary to do that last bit on the printout about turning the crank pully after putting the belt on?

I think because if its been timed wrong turning the crank by hand will not damage anything whereas if you start it and its timed wrong....

no i mean the repositioning of flange bit at the end is that really necessary as it looks like you need a lot of special tools to do it lol

I think you only need to do that if the holes don't line up again after fitting the new belt and turning it over by hand! I know when I did the CCs (138bhp), everything was fine and holes lined up fine. I even had a local Pug/Citroen specialist have a look as he was around sorting my air con.
Took me about 6 hours, but I took my time as I wanted it to be right! Getting the covers on/off requires some dexterity!

Too true i think thats probably the hardest part about the change

It's not the best job in the world to do, usually takes more than 4hours unless there is prior experience.
the first time i had mine done, they locked the exhaust cam in the wrong pin, making it be 1 tooth out, but it made a big difference on noise/performance, so make sure everything is locked up solidly and double check everything...you don't want to be doing it twice.
