Car: 206 1.4 look 52 plate multiplexed.

I noticed this morning after having new tyres fitted that the gearstick moves back and forth in a regular motion under acceleration. It moves backwards and forwards more quickly as speed increases.

Any ideas on what could be wrong?

Out of shape tyre?

Wheel not fitted correctly?

Could be tyre balance but that would be more of a vibration issue.

No steering wobble, tracking seems ok because it doesnt move about under braking so far.

The tyres are Bridgstone Potenzas, literally fitted a hour ago by National Tyres.

Take the n/s front wheel of & stick the spare on as a test to see if it improves it, if it doesnt then swop the spare over to the o/s front & try again.

Im guessing out of shape tyre.

Or just take it back and tell them you have a wobble.... saves getting the tools out yourself
