I've got a new thermostat to fit to mine this week, cheaper to get a genuine part from a Peugeot / Citroen main dealer then anywhere else

Have you already bought it and if so, does it say 'Clarostat' (brand) on it?

Yes ive already bought it.
I can see made in France & 89 for the temp on the actual stat.
Adwest, Dauphinoise & Thomson on the plastic bit plus 2011 for the year.

OK.
Mine says Clarostat, made in France, 89 C but was not sourced directly from Pug.
That was before I stopped buying non-genuine parts altogether.
Indeed, it cost more than the OEM part IIRC.

Easy job, changed it today.
Old one came of it 2 bits as the thermostat had seperated from the housing.
New stat fitted, system refilled & bled up.
Cooling system now getting up to temp & working correctly
