this code has been coming up intermetintly for months now sometimes wont come up for months at a time but i have changed the injectors around and it only seems to bring up number 4 so would this be a wireing problem

Injector number 4 is the TIMING BELT end 
Hope you changed the correct injector

Number 1 is gearbox end on the TU lump.
Number 4 is timing belt end.
Your not the first & wont be the last to make this same mistake

While your there fix the leak from the windscreen washer jet, thats what normally causes injector 4 to fail

oh realli i dont think it is leaking and im used to my vw and audis as thats what i drive but want a 106 gti aswell

Mostly ruined now & also take some skill to drive
Unless your a skilled driver a 106 GTI driven hard will be picking a hedge sooner or later

i see ill stick with my bora turbo ill finish the 206 tomorow and see if it is the injector if so ill go breakers and get one and the harnes for them

106 is old school Peugeot chassis design, great to drive if you know what your doing BUT they can bite when you run out of talent.
Modern Peugeot chassis design like the 206 will just understeer safely when you get it wrong, 106 when you run out of talent you can end up with the backend trying to overtake the front

right looks like that has sorted it i picked up a couple of injectors cheap and now from the usefull info about the cylinder numbers being backwards looks like its alive
