so let me try and repeat what has been said, i need to do 50mph in 5th gear for 10mins? how often do i carry this out? or do i do it when the car suddenly has no power? that part doesn't make sense to me. if i have no power i would think the turbo has failed. can some one pleaes tell me how often i need to do 50 for 10mins as i am struggleing to get what you are saying. does the car regen all the time as soon as you do 50mph?

a link would, i have used the search button but didn't find what i was looking for. at the people who replied to the thread may have just confirmed my question, but up to now no one has commented on what i have said. is that because its hearsay? or do they actually know but won't comit to the question. i came on a peugeot website to say i have got the brand and that i look forward to shareing info and how to's, my partner has had peugeot for 10 years, the last being a 206 quiksilver, i have replaced a clutch, both driveshafts, both wishbones and drop links twice, the rear axle beam and all round brakes, there is many other things i have done to it to that i can't remember! so i have a lot to offer other members that need help there.
first diesel. and i know nothing about them. thankyou to the people that have given me a heads up, but i just need to make sure i keep the system working! and thats the bit i need clarifying. how many times do i need to travel at a certain speed? for how long? and can you tell if the car is regenerating? and if i stick to them rules will the fap be ok? i just want to make sure i understand what different people have said.

I dont own your model, but as far as i know, unless your doing good long journeys, you need to take it for a good high revving run, once a month. The gti hdi is well known on here for causing lots of problems, mainly the UNBLOCK DIESEL FILTER. Search for that! Mainly related to the elyos fluid, but also the FAP getting blocked. A good blast through the gears will help clear it.

WRONG.

Booting it through the gears is not how you clear the filter.

Don't think you can search under my name as it isn't 3 digits long.

Search 'unblock diesel filter', 'diesel particulate filter' and 'fap' under 206 problems.
