car will take a while to start fires up on 3 or maybe 2 cylinders then cat faliure flashes up then car starts dying what can i do??

might be sumthing simple like sparkplug r shot, maybe its frowing you emissions off

Make sure your 02 wires are not corroded. My second one was and my car ran on 2 cylinders.

iv had the plesure of replacing the plugs and tryed unpluging lambda sensors only thing i think now is to take the cat off and clean it out

to anyone with the same probably it turns out my coil pack died and put strain on the injectors to pump more petrol in and now have to replace number 1 and 3 injector and lambda sensor ....... TO ANYONE WHO HAS AN XSI THIS "IS" YOUR probably AS THE GARAGE I TOOK IT TO HAVE HAD EXACTLY IDENTICAL IN THE LAST 6 YEARS ............
