Ive just connected my amp and sub then reconnected battery and softbooted the bsi, but my centre console display both time and date are flashing..whats wrong? Please help thanks

Thats a problem in itself the buttons dont work because its got the rubber ends missing..but when i wired my previous amp then it didnt flash when i reconnected

If it's mutiplexxed, mine always flashes when the time needs re setting after disconnecting the battery

It the rubber end of the buttons are missing I found a pencil with a rubber worked to set the time/date then just replaced covers. That was until I found the missing rubber under the passenger mat.

Yeh its multiplexed (i think) 03 reg...yeh the rubber bits fall off so easily and get lost.. Ill try pencil rubber in a lil while see if it works

lol i guess it says a lot about me that I understand wiring amps etc but get worried over a flashing display :-p...i just didn't experience it the last time i disconnected the battery so was just making sure I've not bodged something up

It should always flash when the battery has been disconnected. If it doesn't I would be more worried.

hmm ive only ever disconnected once before when it didnt flash but everything was ok..this time it flashed which is why I thought it wasn't normal. thanks for the help everyone

The pencil rubber didnt work any other ideas? The flashing display is annoying
