i've read on here the potential issues jump starting the cars and the BSI.
My car is a 2001 206cc, I think non-multiplexed (it has the thin remote radio stalk)
Is it OK to jump start it? Is there a proceedure to follow?
Thanks in anticipation!
Rich

I think its fine just leave your key out the ignition while connecting the cables I'm not 100% sure I'm sure some one can clarify it

Unfortunately I made a school boy error and left my lights on while my battery was dying anyway... in answer to your question yes you can! Well mine was fine anyway!

Just turn your sidelights on to reduce the voltage spike.

No it certainly isn't.
There is a very real risk when jump-starting any modern car with ECU/BSI.
Wether you choose to take it is your buisness.
