Hi all
I brought myself a 2002 Peugeot 206 GTI on Saturday and unfortunatly it didnt come with a owners manual.
When you start the car up on the millage display on the dashboard it firstly comes up with how many miles until your next service, then before the millage comes back there is this weird thing like this 0000_ _ with a object at the end some days I have more O then dashes.
Does anyone know what this is as im very confused
Thanks

0 0 0 0 0 0 would be full
_ _ _ _ _ _ would be empty
check your dipstick levels manually though, don't rely on the sensor. seeing as the car is new to you it may be worth having it serviced anyway just so you know where you are with it (oil and filters are cheap if you can have it DIY'd).

Its the oil level indicator. They're not the most reliable of things, mine goes from OOOOOO to OOO---to ------ all the time, it sometimes even flashes. I'm not even using any oil according to the engine dipstick !!

Oil level. Disregard it totally and check it manually with the dipstick.

Every time I check mine with the dipstick its spot on with what the oil level gauge is showing.
