my engine management light just came on only bought the car on thursday and the guy isnt answering the phone, typical, my dad owns a garage il have to get him the plug the computer into it, where does it plug in? it seems to have lost power and there is a bit of a rattle from the engine, its a 2.0 2002, has anyone had the same problem? any advice would be great, cheers

You're p**sing in the wind until you have had the codes read.
Plug - Drivers side fusebox, in the cab. (Under the Steering wheel.)

The rattle could be something or nothing.
Is the engine cover secured with four peugeot clips?

got the fault codes po101 po401 and po100 said exhaust gas recirculation and mass or volume air flow, any ideas mate?

P0100 Mass or Volume Air Flow Circuit Malfunction
P0101 Mass or Volume Air Flow Circuit Range/Performance Problem
P0401 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Flow Insufficient Detected
One of the Lee's will help when they see this, they are the 'Whiz-Kids' on 206's.
My guess would be a dead MAF sensor, and a blocked/closed EGR valve. However, don't hold me on that, wait for someone to give you a more detailed answer.

the egr may had even been disconnected, as i did it on my old D-Turbo, supposed to give you a few horses more, personally i didnt feel the difference so i reconnected it again, before i sold it.

Already answered this in PM.
Check if the codes come back, if they do, then it'll need a new MAF. Go for genuine not China specials.
