hi i have a simuler problem i remover the standered seats and put some recoro seats in my 206 GTI and i am getting airbag fault is there any way i can join the cables together to make the car think the airbags are still there to get rid of the airbag fault if so what cables do i join together there is 3 cables going to to the plug

Stick a resistor of the correct value accross the terminals. Or get the airbag ECU disabled.

So apparently everyone knows my financial situation? If I wanted a 180 I would have bought a 180 simples Smile

Turn the connector over from how it's shown in your photo. There's a little green tab that you'll be able to push down and it looks like that frees it - but it doesn't

You need to get a slim screwdriver and slide it in just beneath thab tab - give it a wiggle and the connector can be pulled apart. Took me a while to work it out and I've done a few over the years.

Edit: Camera found - Like this mating half missing but you get the idea.

thats how i got it to come away too! great minds think alike!

Is your insurance company happy / you bothered to tell them you have removed factory fitted safety equipment from the car?
