So my car passed its MOT YaY (yes you seen my post about it costing me £300)

Put some petrol in a little later, and it started misfiring again. In its MOT the coil pack was replaced and it drove like a bute! is it likely to be a dodgy coilpack?? or bad petrol? spark plugs where tested and ive checked all wires. So not sure what options it leaves me with!

Also just went to my car and the panel under the stearing wheel was hanging off now all my wires are on view....

Must add that im really having to High Rev it to get it to move now which im sure is doing me no good.

Im going to redex it tonight as im going to mechanics in morning to see if it is anything he has done, as i cant really afford anything else doing, and ive got a motorway journy tommorw to liverpool from wolverhampton.... but if its not got any stick i cant do it! First motorway drive aswell.

Its unlikely to be clutch related if it's misfiring and needs high revs to get any power. It is more likely to be the coil pack or the extensions or the plugs, either that, is there a dip in fuel pressure? Could be a propblem with the sender/ return unit?

not sure how to test fuel pressure, this is my first car!

The spark plugs where tested before MOT and where fine apparently, it had a new coilpack wensday before MOT also, This is driving me nuts i think im going to have a break down... not sure if a Peugeot was such a good idea now...

ran the petrol right down and it kicked back into life... I Should sue them... lol

If it happens again, check your fuel injectors. I changed the coil pack and plugs when this happened to me, only to find myself bemused still.

I asked a mechanically knowledged friend, who said to check the fuel injectors.

He did this by pulling each one out and starting her up. If the misfire is worse, then the fuel injector you have removed is working. If you manage to pull one out and the misfire stays the same as it has been, then thats your failing injector and it needs replacing!

Did it with mine, ran a dream after! Very Happy

I'd personally check that you don't have NGK Spark plugs sat under your bonnet.
