Which oil should I be using for my 1.1? Last time I changed the oil i used 5W40 which is supposed to be for this car. However reading on here 5W40 should only really be used for GTI engines and 10W40 should be used for 1.1's etc. Whats the verdict chaps?

I've got 205 litres of 5w30 Shell Helix Ultra Extra fully synthetic oil at work as we have to use it in the forklifts, im tempted to put some in my TU3 next time but I think this oil is just far too good for the engine
Its PSA B71 2290 approved.

Does nobody else have a sticker in their engine bay that states which oil to use?

I've got enough 10w40 semi synthetic industrial engine oil to keep my TU3 in oil changes for a good few years yet
Its actually Total Quartz 7000 in a different container
Never had to top the oil up between service either

Same here.
I have to highly recommend the Shell stuff.
I think the 5W30 is their top of the line oil and have used this for a couple of years in the TU3.
Now I use their 5W40 and it is most definately worth it.
Quieter engine, better performance overall on long-distance, high-temp situations.
