Hi guys I've got a Sony hu that has an iPod lead at the back, I ran the lead behind the dash and up through the opening under the ashtray, I then cut-out a hole for the lead in the ashtray and glued it in, my iPhone sits perfect in there Smile

You can get your hand up to the right of the glovebox mate, pull the lead through and then there's a little gap to push the lead through to underneath the ashtray, I drilled a cutout in the ashtray, pulled the lead through and glued it in from behind, here's the finished job, iPhone just sits in there nicely Smile
It's the perfect fit for an iPhone and a very quick and easy mod for anyone with an iPod compatible stereo

I was thinking the same thing to be honest but then again nothing surprises me anymore with this forum and some of the post made.

Looks good but you could of used the cover behind the ash tray instead of cutting a hole in it.

I wanted my iPhone to sit in the ashtray though mikey, and cutting through it was the only way I could see to get the lead to sit nicely in the bottom

Yeah that's where I used to stick my phone, the headunit remote sits there now, it would have been hard to get the lead and phone to sit in there nicely, I did try it first before cutting the ashtray bottom
