I did think of using bolts or allen keys. As long as they are tough and fit i cant see why they wont work. Does anyone no what repositioning the flange means?

The "flange" is the crank pulley. You should only have to move that if the pulley doesn't line up with the pin/locking tool and the cams are locked in place too. I didn't have to touch mine ... it was fine.

Im doing mine with the engine out so got plenty of room Very Happy On that how to it says to use a special tool to tension the tensioner while you tighten the nut.

Just used an allen key to hold it then tweaked the locking nut. Once it didn't move I could then tighten it properly.

With the engine out it should be a piece of cake ... and you will have less cuts than me probably!!
