As the subject says... its gone from a clunking to a squeezing, a really loud squeaking, just wondering what it actually is and if its repairable if anyone knows?! It's pretty bad and you can make it squeak just by getting in/out or rocking it ever so slightly

Cant really afford a new axle at the minute so hoping it doesnt come to that lol, also there seems to be a gap on the mounting bush but not sure if its supposed to be like that?

Any play at 12 and 6 on the wheels? If so the trailing arm bearings need replacing. Best to do them if there's abit of play or its a new beam. I no as mine has gone and squeaks like a bit**

Not sure if its worth it though if the axle needs replacing anyway, dont suppose you know anywhere that sell recon axles at a good price?

I wouldnt bother with an axle just because the end plate bolt has sheared? Why is everyone on this forum obssessed with buying recon axles? If you cant drill and easyout the bolt just take it to a garage/engineering shop. probably cost about £30. Or get a recon axle for £400.............

a set of bearing is at least 4 times cheaper than re-con axle

Hopefully it is nothing too major, but I also have a little sqeek from the rear.

Only when getting in and out of the car, and when you put the handbrake on when on a hill. Sometimes when the back of the car comes off a speedbump.

No other noises/clucks etc come from the rear at all, so I have just put it down to the shocks being a bit dry.
After a little search, I have found that it may possibly be the spare wheel rubbing which I will check tomorrow, also I will be giving the wheels a good wobble.

I hope it isn't anything serious. It would be a little odd seeing as someone spent a lot of money on the shocks (a lot of money on everything really, and not all that long ago by the looks of them) and to not check everything out whilst underneith.

Wish me luck!
