Thanks for all the replies. Back to square one again, think my xsara needs a new power steering pump, new fuel pump (Why im chucking it). Just put new back pads and discs plus a oil change last week.

You can buy a 2.0 and make it look nice, you can polish a turd and it will look good! Reliability over looks most on here would go for.

Looks fine, although for the price you were originally about to pay then surely there are better cars? If you are set on a 206 for around 2k start looking around the 04-06plate range which has the better specs. Less money is then spent making it look modern. That 206 has been sat in a field for a few months before Peugeot sold it though.
