Hi All,

I haven't been updating my project thread whilst I have been doing bits and pieces to the car, so yesterday it had a nice clean and here are the results..

So whats new?

The wheels, sidestrips, bumper strips, bootstrip, Morettes, & wiper cover have had a new coat of Gloss black and laquer. I used a better quality paint (from Halfords) then I did before (Plastikote) and the finish it much better. The Plastikote paint gave it more of a Satin effect finish (even though it said Gloss Black) where as the Halfords paint is much glossier.

I have painted the badges on the wheels in Diablo Red, the Arches and front strip have had another few coats of Diablo Red and Laquer and look much better for it.

Boot 'Install' has been wired in and is all working.

Mudflaps have had a couple of coats of Gloss Black and Laquer and are fitted (thanks to 20619d)

So here are the pictures:

looks nice mate i like it... fogs look a bit odd though under the black morettes maybe they should be masked?

gotta say though if you're after a better quality of paint stay away from Halfords it's s*** stuff!

Cheers, the fogs will be getting done soon. Am going to Fly-Eye the Morettes, so the fogs will be getting done the same.

The finish is much better than what it was!

I know the match isn't perfect, it is a little disapointing :(. You can only see it is different in bright sunlight. When the car is in the shade, it looks exactly the same. The paint has had 13 years of wear though, so a perfect match wasn't expected.
