I have a 2000 206 1.1 lx, I have recently had a couple of new tyres and had the tracking sorted out, yet as soon as the road surface becomes slightly uneven, it feels almost unsafe to drive and uncontrollable even at slower speeds, anyone have any advice or tips? Would be greatly appreciated!

I've checked the air pressure in the tyres, and I've checked the wheels for excess wobble but all seems ok

Could be down to quite a few suspension, steering parts that have possibly failed. You could start by checking for play in the wheels which could lead to finding failed parts.
Out of interest where in melton do you live, never seen someone so close to me on here before.

not sure if its just your car mate but I have always found 206 handling to be awful!! I have owned two now and they dont stick anywhere near things like golfs, new shape meganes, new minis etc... I have lovely handling now in mine but I have put it on GAZ coilovers which have adjustable dampers at the back so I can have a soft easy ride or nice and stiff when I feel a nice Rawwrrrr is nessesary

I'm from long Clawson rich, and ye I had a 02 1.4 lx before and that seemed much tighter and held the road much nicer than the one I have now, I don't even have to try hard in the bends before it feels as if it's going to lose control

Ah not too far away then, has the handling problems happened after the tracking and tyres or were they to try and fix the handling problems.
You could have a quick look to see if the front coil springs are complete, if driven a few cars where the owner complains of unpredictable handling which turned out to be cracked coil springs. Plus only takes a minutes to check.

206 handling isnt that bad BUT its nowhere near as good as old school Peugeot handling used to be.
