got about 2-3 mm movement in the top one but now its just stopped Confused

When knocking the torsion bars out you need to make sure you aren't just pushing the arms off the tube. So the arm needs holding in place maybe with some timber between it and a wall.

 

When mine came out on mine they came out the other way to how you got the arrows on this pic :S strange isnt it

Just keep WD40 it up help you out and sooner or later it will come out just takes time.

I suppose the bars can go either way if you are just lowering the back end. My method is enough to remove the torsion bar completely. I'm sure one end is fatter than the other so will only go one way.

Just use an old wood working chisel. It will cut into the screw and shift it easily - well it did for me.

the bottom torsion bars not budging had me smashing it for a hour and my dad for a hour after that its seized in the drivers side to its just pushing the arm off ? :/ wont hit backwards or forwards cant even roll it to a garage my wheels are in Birmingham and i only got 1 torsion bar in XD got till the 15th to get this done before im back at work :'( p**sing me off why cant peugeot make anything easy....

It won't knock the arm off if you put a block of timber between the arm and a solid object.

ok i'm in the middle of doing this aswell and i have the bolts and washers out
can some one clearthis up...hitting the top bar from the drivers side and forcing it towards the passenger side is the correct way to be going...and then the lower bar hit from the passenger side forcing it towards the driver side???

That's what the picture says yes. In reality you can knock them either way when just lowering the rear.
