Bigger brakes are for man points!
I joke, I joke... I need new pads & discs front + back anyway, so may as well spend £200 more and get 4 pots!

Fair enough, you definitely see alot of cars who buy the bigger brakes for show when infact they dont need them.
Although, they definitely look better!
When do you go home for Easter Jamie, and until when?

I'm sorry to be a pain, but i heard something i while back about Longman not being able to correctly get a 180 on TB's running right, so hence why it has never been done
Or is due to the 180 engine being weaker in some way?

I've heard those rumours too but the EW10J4S is just an engine at the end of the day so if anyone can get it running I trust Sandy
As for the manifold issue, again, Sandy's problem not mine

I've blown £1.5k already on the bodies/manifold/trumpets/linkages/fuel rails/cams, got to buy the management, carbon box & carbon trumpets, plus fitting, loom & mapping. Hovering around the £3.5k mark, probably leaning near the £4k mark.

Very true mate, its just IMHO Longman is one of the best in the bussiness, so if he cant crack it, im not sure anyone else can
But good luck, you might be the first as every TB'd engine is 138 AFAIK

Doubt its weaker, it uses stronger rods and pistons.
You may find they'll struggle to fit TB's without losing VVT.
I know there's a 180 on TB's already, whether its been mapped yet or not is a different matter...

If I had to lose VVT then that wouldn't bother me, Sandy seems quite keen to keep it, and I'm not gonna argue with him!
The biggest issue for me is the BSI/ECU/Standalone ECU malarkay...

It was just speaking to a few peugeot mechanics things tend to go wrong on the 180's more than the 138's, but wether its the engine im not sure
Also its not the mounting i was worried about, but the mapping is were longman struggled

I assume you've done your research Jamie? Heard a few 'Low Spec' stories. Think you can find them on net.
