My girlfriends passenger seat is stuck at almost as far forward as it can go, slides the rest of the way forward but won't go back which means I don't fit in it! Tried going to take the for torx screws out to take the seat out and have a look but I can't slide it back to get the front bolts :@ getting really annoyed with now and ran out if ideas, so fitted her a pioneer stereo so I can actually hear some sweet music in the comparably roomy back seats

Sit on the seat, pull the slider bar up under the seat and move back and forth. Sometimes the chair runners get stuck, this usually sorts mine.

sit in the seat and use the height adjuster while bouncing, then try pulling the bar to see if it has worked,

there is a little bit of plastic on the runner that sometimes comes out and the seat just slides back and forwards without locking, you need to push the bit of plastic back into the runner, it happened to me as well, i was so angry i was going to bite the f-king seat then calmed down and had a good look at the runner, hope this helps

Is this the same for GTi 180 seats?
Mine both seats slide freely front/back without locking.. only abit of plastic stops you sliding in an accident?!

The passenger seat in hers moves forward but not backwards, it's locked close to the dash so no1 can fit in the front seat over 4 foot, will give these ago but nothing seems to be working and I can't get to it to take the seat out! Is there any way of getting the seat off the sliders?

my driver seat was stuck in 1 position it couldnt go forward or back as the adjustment handle was broken.
so i got new seats from Spratty from this site he had on for sale. went there and he helped me put the seats in. when it came to the driver seat he couldnt undo the screws to take it off so basically he broke the seat off (not damaging the bolt it goes into and then he simply just bolted my new seats in
