Think I've found the source of the rattle ... the outer part of the crank pulley looks offset to the centre so I assume the rubber silencer ring has come away.

So I'm in the market for a new one I guess ... probably will try and buy new as I'm guessing a 2nd hand one wouldn't last long. Still this one did 99000!

Down to just the 1.4 HDi. Cayman Green 2.0i CC sold.

Anyone help to work out which one I want and if any of the ebay versions will fit.

I think I will need a 0515V7 described as a double pulley on service box.

There are a couple on ebay but these are 0515P8 pulleys ... older version?

It's to go on a 1.4 HDi 68bhp diesel engine ...

Down to just the 1.4 HDi. Cayman Green 2.0i CC sold.

don't go for an eBay part for something like a crank pulley, go to Peugeot.

nothing wrong with some stuff off of ebay, ive ordered clutch kits and other parts without issue, just buy from a reputable seller.

Also no offense, but i have seen a lot of after market things built better by other companies compared to peugeot... exhausts... turbos... clutches... suspension... there is a reason why they are cheap cars...

I've got the haynes manual ... and that doesn't tell you the part numbers ...

And 70bhp is what Peugeot's Service Box shows .. I know it's a couple less ... Smile ... so I've updated my original post ... Rolling Eyes

I've found them on EuroCarParts for £70.20 with their EASTER25 discount ... or carpart4less at £68.40 ... which is actually EuroCarParts and a slightly better discount!!!

Down to just the 1.4 HDi. Cayman Green 2.0i CC sold.

Doubt it ... there isn't a make on the expensive one, but the cheaper one is by Q-Drive ...

Don't forget Peugeot won't make their parts ... they get them made for them from the same places that the OE parts come from but pay a bit more to have PSA logos stuck on and the PSA box ... and charge you a lot more them ...

When I replaced mine, I was offered an 'Original' style one and a later 'Modified' one, as fitted to the current Fiesta diesel. This was then used by Peugeot as the original style was unpredictable in how long it would last.
It was sometime back and cost me £57 from motorseamus on eBay.
Good service and it is still working well without rattling. Very Happy

in that case for the parts number, i thought i saw someone on the forum who could take your vin and search every part number in your car, he just copy pastes a list, search the forum for MA or BE gearbox, i think thats what the guy wanted to know, might have been on another peugeot forum, peugeot central or something? worth a try though.

Rob.Be: I can get the part numbers from here .... http://public.servicebox.peugeot.com/?jbnRedirect=true ... what I was hoping was if someone could confirm if 0515P8 and 0515V7 were for the same engine ...
