Hi Guys,

So after 3+ years of happy motoring my car finally decided today was the day it wanted to have it's first problem.

After sitting unused for 2 days (This is very rare for my car) I needed to goto the shops, jumped in the car, it started fine and drove fine.

After about 2 miles I came to a T junction and stopped, the car upto this point was driving completely normal.

I attempted to set off to turn left and instantly noticed the car was acting sluggish and strange, I got to 1500RPM and BAM she decided to have a nice old misfire, a constant one at that, the car was juddering, with pops and burps coming from the backbox, before I had time to pull over and stop the EML light came on (Flashing) with an audible 'beep' - From what I've been told by people I've explained it to it was a constant misfire...

I pulled over, shut the engine off waited a moment and then started it back up, the car started up fine and drove back to my girlfriends fine too without any further misfires although the EML light was still on (Constant at this point, no longer flashing)

I popped the bonnet and pulled the battery to clear the EML light as I needed the car to get back home for work tomorrow and it's a good 50 mile drive back home.

I've since been to the shops which we intended on going to earlier before the car had it's little problem (About 5 miles) back to my girlfriends, and then I've made it home too on a combination of A roads and Motorways without another misfire and the EML light is still off.

Could this of just been a little hiccup that my car had or should I worry some more about it - I already am tbh, never had a misfire with the car before and I haven't a clue why the hell it happened, or why it's vanished as quick as it arrived.

Sounds like a hiccup, in 5 years of owning my car, the EML light came on once randomly, which after 30 mins drive went off. ALthough you had a clear problem, i'd wait to see if it happens again.
