Hi, my pug seems to run at 2400 - 3000 rpm (is this high?) before it changes gear. (between 25 - 35mph) When the revs are too high I just stick it in semi auto and its fine? any ideas on this?
Did also have engine light come on last week, got it checked error code P0420. Garage asked when the car had its service, been stamped november, although not sure what has been serviced! they recommend doing a full service! The garage reset the light for me. Any suggestions on what I should do next?
Cheers
Vik
ps I don't know whether this post is in the right section

Well they should told you what cause the light to come on,not only reset it,and about the RPM,you get this ratio on the second to third,or from 1 to second?

The auto box always does that between 2/3.
It's a poor design because to maintain 30, you're either at high noisy revs.. or low revs at which the engine struggles.
