ok, tried a few things with it now, but not sure what to try

put a new VSS on today, still nothing

tried a different dash cluster, no change

tried the reversing with door open, nothing happens

any one what the pin outs are on the VSS

i guess 1 is 12v, 1 is earth and the other is the speed?

which is which?

also, do any wires from the VSS go via the round plug infront of the passenger front wheel?

pin 2 > earth = 0ohms
Ping 1 > earth = 11-14 volts

Yes it does go via the plug behind the bumper. Check the connections are ok.

Saxo electric PAS pump, Vibra Technics engine mounts. Samco coolant hoses, TTV steel flywheel, 4.76 final drive ratio, 307 CC 180 ratios. 2019 BMW 530i. 2017 Mercedes C300 convertible.

ok cheers,

the wheel arch protector is missing so that plug has been getting hit by the elements,

i may just remove it and solder all the connections together Smile

don't suppose you know what pin does what?

ok had the multimetre out

pin 1 goes via pin 34 on the big round plug in front of passenger wheel and is getting 12v
pin 2 is going to earth, and is ok
pin 3, i cant trace via the big round plug

does the pin go via the big round plug? or does it go direct to ECU?

if it goes via big round plug, then i have found my fault and just need to work out which pin Smile

Working now, I run a new cable from ecu to rear if clocks


All fine now
