this is really annoying me, seems like every time i drive im putting more fuel in the tank, its a 1,4 petrol 206 verve, only been driving a week, well 5 days total and ive put 50 quid in the dam thing, the fuel gauge must be wrong or do 206s just drink petrol? any tips to make fuel last?

36 mpg from my 1.4 8v.
It really depends on how you drive and how well the car is maintained.
£50 won't even be a full tank from empty, at my local prices it would only be about 3/4 of a tank.
How many miles have you done in the 5 days? I know that when I started driving, the car was thrashed everywhere and drove everywhere, even to a mates round the corner and the odd 50 mile trip to the local national park to race around the lanes at night. Fuel doesn't last long when you do stuff like that.
Join a site like Fuelly and enter your fill ups so you can monitor your MPG.

1.4's are not great for MPG tbh.
Mine runs around 29mpg.
I know others get better, but I also know others who get worse.

I travel from Manchester to Somerset and back (400+ miles) on a full tank with careful driving in a 1.6 16v so you should breeze 200+.

Thought a 1.4 would be better than 30 ish mpg. My 180 returns 28! In the week when im commuting to work i can easily get 140 miles from £30.

My TU3 is showing 32.1 mpg average on the trip computer at the moment
For the way its driven im more then happy with that
206 fuel tank capacity is 50 litres, do the math & you will see £50 has no chance of filling it to the top from empty.
