A new battery has been fitted last January so it shouldn't be this, the car has been having slow starts about 20% of the time and this morning the battery was completely flat, no central locking or lights working. They were not on at the time, all electronics turned off. Used my other motor to jump start it but on my return from work another slow start and I can only imagine the battery dying again tomorrow morning? I can only think the car needs a new alternator?

Sounds like the alternator, but check the battery terminals are free of corrosion & that there's a good earth. Then get the alternator checked before buying a new one just to be sure.

Grr it was stereo all along, both red and yellow are on permanent live and both must be connected for stereo to turn on, thought it would turn off when BSI deactivates, I'm sure it did anyway... I am using PC99-X44 any thoughts to why red and yellow are both live and not either is the ignition?
