Ye the pump is very simple feed an earth with a relay, that’s the reason I choose it over a 307 or 206 pump and there cheap.

The inlet manifold has a bend in so it misses the PAS pump which isn’t the best design, I’m getting a new exhaust over the winter so just thought about an ex manifold as well.

It’s not heavy at all when parking possibly a little lighter

i have found that the downpipe/ cat is only 2" i.d so i am going to change this to 2.5" i.d as i think its holding it back abit, and new exhaust cat back aswell. ill let you know if it helps

Sounds like a decent idea. I believe for 200bhp you need a minimum of 2.5". There was a feature in a magazine I have that states the required exhaust sizes for particular power outputs.

Could that Saxo PAS pump have sat on a bracket on top of the gearbox mount? Would mean there would be no need for drilling the car for a new mount.

ye hopefully, would like a proper manifold like yours really but I think a diff would make a bigger difference for the price.

Ye I think you probably could mount it there and just get the original pipes modified to suit. That’s where the coil is on mine so had to go sum where else so put it down low to keep the weight low to the ground

A couple of interesting articles on exhausts and manifolds for power outputs, do these figures agree with those in your magazine?

It was in Practical Performance car ages ago. I'll dig through my archives and see if I can find it. If I remember correctly it was written by an engineer who works for Jaguar.

Just looking at your 106 pas pump if you've converted to the elec pump why have you still got the old one piped up? As I thought the elec ones have there own resivor? Or has it been taken out after your up date?

As I'm planning on doing the same but just need some info before I order the bits

I’m not using the electric pump yet as I haven’t changed my inlet manifold so I left mechanical pump on whilst I was testing the electric one. The electric pump works well and is all ready to go when/if I change the manifold.

spike_202, there’s some pictures of the rad mounting a few pages back.

It had a standard diff before so can’t compare. The flywheel is from TTV I think it’s the same as the pug1off flywheel just much cheaper if you buy it direct from TTV

Spike hope you got the rad sorted

After two track days this year I think the car needs to lose some weight so I have made a new back box and got some TD 1.2 wheels. The original back box was 15KG an my new one is under 5kg. The new wheels a about 3kg lighter each so that’s a good saving on un sprung weigh. Hopefully I should have some plastic windows soon an the passenger seat will be removed. Not got any good pictures yet though.

The gripper diff is brilliant by the way.
