i had to change my door on my gti due to some wa@*er trying to break into it. i put the new door on and swapped the wiring (new door didnt have electric mirror wiring), i never swapped the lock or locking mech. i shut the door and it locked all the doors (keys were inside ). i managed to get the keys out and now my centeral locking isnt working at all??? any ideas chaps?? thanks

Possibly the wrong type of lock motor in the replacement door.
GTI should have a deadlocking type of motor.
Most likely find a blown fuse in the fuse box aswell.

thanks for the reply, i thought it might of been that but wanted a second opinion. i will try that as soon as the rain calms down! cheers!
