Come on you guys are Pug owners so someone must have had this problem???
If anyone is interested I am looking at offloading this car shortly. Spec is Peugeot 206 1.4 GLX Black 5 Door 02 Year, Plate 02 6 owners and 48,000 miles confirmed. Taxed and MOT's till June/July. Apart from the intermittent rattle from time to time all is perfect with car. In great condition and has a stainless steel longlife exhaust fitted.

Hi Ash,
Going to be a bit hard trying to do that as it is only if I am driving and only intermittently at that. To be honest had enough with Peugeots now and just want shot of so I can get something else.

Does it rattle over bumps or is it rattling over normal road surface too?
I had a rattle from the front that happend intermittantly, I made a recording of it: goo.gl/2PA4b
Are you getting the same kind of rattle noise as that?

Hi,
Rattles over normal road surface also. I checked your sound recording and mine does not sound like that. Will have to try and record and upload and go from there.
Thanks

Update: To be honest having more of a listen it is more a creaking noise (sounds maybe like bed springs) from the front drivers side and is intermittent only and seems to go away when accelerating. Disappears altogether after about 10 mins. Exhaust is not loose at all and all tightened so it is def not that. Any other ideas????
I am probably going to get a Garage to have a look because I have had enough of the noise but before that would appreciate any other theories if people have had similar problems. Car was jacked up today and everything seems to be ok i.e. not loose, moving but I am not an expert.

Is it happening when the car is at idle or only when you are driving. I have a clicking noise and I'm fairly sure it's the CV joint.

While your car is parked up, push down gently on the front wing to compress the spring and then let it back up. You might be able to pin point the noise easier from being stood next to it. Most likely a worn ball joint or suspension mount.
Is the car lowered?

Will do, I am thinking worn joint possibly.
The car is not lowered at all - totally standard!!!
